TTNF Nursing Scholarship
Many students can not afford tuition or educational materials needed to successfully become a nurse and we want to end that. Dropping out of nursing school due to financial hardship is not only dire for the student, but is just as impactful for society as a whole TTNFoundation hopes to drastically reduce nursing student drop out rate by providing scholarships to help struggling nursing students complete their studies.

Kierra Spottswood
Kierra is currently attending Germanna Community College in her second semester as a nursing student. She completed her first semester with academic honors! Kierra’s future goal is to become a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse.
A fun fact about Kierra is that she loves to go on new adventures in her city with friends and family. She enjoys trying new experiences with the people she loves most, which makes her very happy.
Here is a message from Kierra – “As a single mom to an amazing son who is non-verbal and on the autism spectrum, I never thought I’d be here today. Becoming a nurse has always been my dream and I am proud to say I am finally on the path to making my dream come true. I’ve completed my first semester with academic honors. I know my adversities, nor my past will define me. I am doing my best and God will do the rest.”

James Jones
James Jones is currently attending Chamberlain University in his senior year as a nursing student. James future goal is to become a NICU nurse or work in the Cath Lab. James loves to travel and read. A fun fact about James, is that in 2017 he went to Thailand where he visited an elephant sanctuary!

Jordan Gates
Jordan Gates is currently attending Howard University in her junior year as a nursing student with Psychology minor. Jordan’s future goal is to become a Nurse Anesthetist. A fun fact about Jordan is that she is a member of the Flashy Flag Squad which is part of the Howard University S.H.O.W.T.I.M.E. Marching Band!

Madison is currently attending Midwestern State University, in her fifth and final semester, as a nursing student. Madison’s future goal is to enter the field as a Pediatric Nurse. A fun fact about her is that she has been to all the filming locations of the popular TV show One Tree Hill!

Shanie is currently attending Quincy College, in her first year as a nursing student. Shanie’s future goal as a nurse is to enter the field of Psychiatric and Mental Health. A fun fact about her is that she has duel citizenship in both Jamaica and US!

TTNF Nursing Scholarship - $1,000.00
Application Deadline: CLOSED
In order to apply for this scholarship, candidates must:
Be a full-time or part-time undergraduate or graduate student in a Nursing Program
Be 18 years of age or older by the Fall 2023 semester
Applicant must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Resident
Complete an application, and upload a video or essay highlighting the following:
Who or what has been the greatest influence on your decision to pursue nursing?
What receiving this scholarship would mean to you?
After the completion of your degree, how do you plan to give back to nursing students that wish to follow in your footsteps?
Explain financial hardship, if any.
